Manuel Offenberg
Manuel believes that working with great people is more important than having the latest version of Rockband and a cooler full of beer in the office. He has 11 years of experience in the IT industry as a developer, security architect, and manager. As a member of the Trusted Computing Group (TCG) storage work group he helped define the standards for Full Disk Encryption (FDE) currently employed by the hard disk industry. Manuel is an architect, developer, and financial officer for startupSQUARE. He also likes to make his own yogurt and tries to avoid the sand trap.
Marcel Olsder
Marcel likes to strike a balance between intellectual curiosity and pragmatic applications. With 10 years of experience as a security engineer and architect, he is ready to dive into a purely theoretical discussion, but is happiest when the discussion returns a useful implementation. Marcel is the lead back-end developer for startupSQUARE and can sometimes be seen running through the park in his crazy five toed shoes.
Tristan Kromer
Tristan loves solving problems and getting his hands dirty. He manages the primary business functions of startupSQUARE.com and is strongly committed to the customer development process. An entrepreneur at heart, he has been involved in a variety of ventures for the past 13 years including IT security, music, real estate, marketing, and mentors young entrepreneurs with BUILD.org. He has lived in the US, Germany, Taiwan, Switzerland, and most recently Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. Tristan will gladly play you a game of chess.
Carmen Neghina
Carmen is our intern extraordinaire helping startupSquare.com with online marketing. She loves everything marketing related, especially linking theory with practice. She is currently getting her Master of Science in Marketing from Radboud University Nijmegen and is busy writing her thesis on communication techniques for brand extensions. She is interested in social media, networking, branding and has recently developed a passion for Terry Pratchett and social design.
